Outside the Classroom

Extracurriculars

The things I stay consistent with outside of classes and engineering projects, including training, team sports, mentoring, and engineering communities.

Endurance Training

Half Ironman (70.3) Training

Training with a structured swim, bike, and run plan focused on consistency, pacing, and gradual progression. I like long-term goals that require week-to-week discipline and smart recovery.

  • Emphasis: consistency, pacing strategy, and building durable habits during busy semesters
  • Approach: track progress, adjust effort, and stay healthy through recovery and mobility work

Team Sports

Volleyball

I enjoy volleyball for the teamwork and fast decision-making. It reinforces communication, staying composed under pressure, and improving fundamentals over time.

Engineering Communities

NASA L’SPACE NPWEE

Participated in NASA’s L’SPACE NPWEE program in a proposal-driven environment. This experience strengthened my systems thinking, technical communication, and ability to work within real constraints and review cycles.

  • Technical communication: structured documentation, clear engineering justification, and revisions
  • Collaboration: working within timelines, feedback loops, and team responsibilities

Rutgers Rocket Propulsion Lab (RRPL)

Involved in a propulsion-focused engineering community with an emphasis on hands-on building, testing mindset, and practical engineering habits.

Mentoring & Teaching

STEM Instruction

Experience teaching and mentoring students through STEM concepts and hands-on problem solving. This strengthened my ability to explain technical topics clearly and work with different learning styles.
